“ I had the ostrich carrpaccio for a starter and the springbok shank for a main. The carrpaccio was delightful. Clean and flavorful but not overpowering. It had capers, mayo, and a sweet brown sauce, and adorned with alfalfa and some other light green. The springbok shank came slowcooked and on a bed of mashed potatoes, accompanied with vegatables. I ate my meal in a comfortable chain in front of a toasty fire. Couldn't have asked for a better experience ”

The decor, the ambiance! Our waitress, Filo, immediately made us feel at home. Her friendly smile and engaging personality was so amazing. Jasmine, Dean and Filo went out of their way to make our evening special. The food and drinks adventure that followed was an European taste explosion blended with the most loved South African dishes and seasoned with the best customer experience we've had in a local restaurant. They will see us again! We cannot wait for winter to try out their lovely fireplace lounge area! ”
“ We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! Our waiter was exceptional, and it was clear the owners put a lot of thought into the decor and overall atmosphere. The attention to detail was impressive, from the individually served bread with butter for each person to the Belgian beer served in branded glasses, accompanied by a small bite of peanuts. To top it off, we were treated to a complimentary OBS shot at the end of our meal, which was a lovely touch. I ordered the ostrich roulette, and it was absolutely phenomenal. A friend had the curry afval, which was also incredible. The only slight drawback was the slow-roasted Springbok shanks, which we found a bit dry. That could be just the nature of the meat, as we’ve never had it before. Overall, this place is a huge asset to Oudtshoorn, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! ”
